
SAEC VC-Meet, held periodically, is the leading capital raising
forum for emerging growth companies in NY/NJ tri-state area.
These meetings are limited to 50-70 entrepreneurs, investors
and service providers. Each VC-Meet begins at 6.30 pm with
a networking hour, followed by a headliner speaker program
and/or a panel discussion. Drinks, and refreshment are served.

Pitch Your Biz-Plan
(This will cost you more than $1000 anywhere else)
On our January 14th VC-Meet we did six 1-on-1's.
Few pre-selected entrepreneurs will pitch their biz plan
to the VC's. There will be a maximum time slot of 15 mins
for each entrepreneurs. This will be done in a private room
one-on-one with the VC. This is not a public presentation.
Requirement: You must have a SAEC ID and must be regsistered
for this event before applying for the VC 1-on-1 program.
How To Apply: If you would like your biz-plan to be
considered for pitching, then please send a one page executive
summary with the last 5 digit number of your SAEC ID to bizplan@saeclub.com.
Write "Feb 18th 1-on-1" in the subject area. You
should also mention your preference for the VC's you want
to meet.
Procedure: The summary will be first screened by our
eval-team. Upon receipt of the summary we'll email you some
guidelines. If you are selected, an invoice for $149 (for
one meeting) will be sent via Paypal. We should receive the
payment via Paypal within 24 hours to reserve the time slot
for you. We'll sent you a tip sheet on how to use this meeting
to maximize the value you receive. before the meeting Otherwise,

SPEAKER SHORT BIOS
Bob
Gold : Bob Gold is President and Chief Executive
Officer of Ridgewood Capital, a position he has held since
its inception in 1998. Mr. Gold has directed the investments
of Ridgewood's venture capital programs which have $290 MM
under management. Mr. Gold has also served as a senior executive
of the Ridgewood Companies since 1987. In that capacity he
has had responsibility for investments in the energy, power
and environmental industries.
He is a director of the Investment Program Association,
a national association of sponsors of direct investment programs.
He serves on the Boards of Myrio Corporation, The FeedRoom,
SavaJe Technologies and is a Board participant at Audio Audit.
Prior to joining Ridgewood, Mr. Gold was a corporate
attorney in the law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen &
Hamilton in New York City where his experience included mergers
and acquisitions, public offerings, tender offers and other
business and legal matters. Mr. Gold is a member of the New
York Bar. He is a graduate of Colgate University and New York
University School of Law.
Noah
J. Walley: Noah J. Walley is a Managing
Member of the Morgan Stanley Venture Partners. Mr. Walley
joined Morgan Stanley Venture Partners in 1998. He has been
active in the area of venture capital since 1994. Prior to
joining Morgan Stanley, he was with the private equity firms
of Bachow & Associates and Desai Capital Management. Throughout
this period, and for four years prior as a consultant at McKinsey
& Co., he focused on the telecommunications and technology
industries. Mr. Walley earned a J.D. from Stanford Law School,
where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, in 1990, and
M.A. and B.A. degrees from Oxford University in 1985 and 1984,
respectively.
Mr. Walley is currently a Director of Thrupoint,
freightquote.com, Roving Software, Band-X, Netscalibur and
Mobilocity.
Marc D. Chen:
Mark D. Chen is a Managing Director of Easton Hunt Capital
Partners. Mark is responsible for Easton Hunts investments
in technology. Prior to joining Easton Capital in 1998, Mark
was co-founder of an electronic components and networking
products distribution company. Previously, he was a manager
in charge of the R&D of a division of Cincinnati Milacron
Company. He started his career as a development engineer and
a research scientist. Mark holds an MBA with distinction from
Columbia Business School, an MS in Materials Science &
Engineering from Penn State University, and a BS in Engineering
from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Mark currently serves
on the Board of Sonics, and is a Board observer of Luminous
Networks and OptiX Networks.
Greg
Frank: Greg Frank is the founding partner
of Ovation Capital Partner. Greg has over 12 years of operating
experience as a technology entrepreneur and executive. Prior
to co-founding Ovation Capital, Greg held senior positions
at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA, and at Murray & Roberts,
where he was responsible for principal transactions. He is
a co-founder of Technologic, a system integration company
for the financial services industry. He currently serves on
the board of Federation Inc, a software company serving aerospace
and automotive clients.
Greg has an MBA from Harvard Business School,
and a degree in Electronic Engineering conferred with first
class honors from the University of Cape Town.
Alex
Lynch: Alex Lynch is the co-founding partner
of the NY office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
Mr. Lynch's practice focuses on the representation to telecommunications,
software, hardware, biotechnology, medical device and other
emerging growth companies, as well as leading investment banks
and venture capital firms. Mr. Lynch has extensive experience
in venture capital financings, initial public offerings, follow-on
offerings, corporate partnering transactions, strategic investments,
private placements and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Lynch served as lead counsel on many of the most prominent
technology transactions in New York's "Silicon Alley"
and, over the last few years, has helped Silicon Alley companies
raise over $3.0 billion in venture and public equity capital.
During that period, he also advised Silicon Alley companies
on mergers and acquisitions valued at over $2 billion.
Mr. Lynch received a J.D. from Columbia University in 1987
and a B.S., cum laude, from Tulane University in 1983, where
he was the recipient of the Aaron Hartman Award. Prior to
joining Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, he was a partner
at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian,
LLP from July 2000 to February 2001. Mr. Lynch was also a
partner in the New York office of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison
LLP, where he was the co-chair of the Public Offerings Practice
Group and a member of Brobeck's Management and Investment
Committees. In addition, from February to June 2000, Mr. Lynch
was Vice President - Strategic Development at TradeOut, Inc.
Mr. Lynch is a member of the New York State Bar and the American
Bar Association.
Mr. Lynch also served on the Board of Directors of the Knot,
Inc., a publicly traded online wedding resource destination.
