Silicon Alley Entrepreneurs Club Hosts Successful Business Networking Mega-Event

Technology and Media Professionals Gather in New York City for Evening of Give and Take

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 23, 2001--The Silicon Alley Entrepreneurs Club (SAEC), the New York City-based networking group for technology and media professionals, executives, investors and entrepreneurs, today announced a turnout of more than 250 attendees for its May 8th `mega-event' at the Carnegie Hill Brewing Company. ``The turnout was impressive,'' said Gyan Parida, founder and president of SAEC, ``and included mostly CEOs, senior executives and investors of the New York City area.''

``The get-together,'' continued Parida, ``provided an excellent opportunity for all parties to exchange ideas and make some real business deals happen. To expedite guests' ability to make the right connections, we introduced a Bulls Eye Networking strategy - a `red dot, green dot' concept that identified people who needed resources as well as those who could provide resources - this was widely accepted by attendees. At future events we plan to put additional mechanisms in place to further encourage productive business interaction.''

Tony Politano, CEO of MIS AG shared, ``The Silicon Alley Entrepreneurs Club event was very worthwhile for us - it opened up several new business opportunities that would have previously taken quite some time to accelerate if we didn't have the chance to meet these companies at SAEC.''

SAEC's programs' Bulls Eye Networking (BEN), Straight Talk (ST), Entrepreneurs Advisory Program (EAP) and Business Defense Program (BDP) were discussed in greater detail at the event. SAEC's next free monthly event will be announced shortly and an attendance of over 400 members is anticipated.
